By making purchases at Vinharia, the user acknowledges having read and accepted these conditions, which constitute the terms governing the online purchase and sale of products.
All alcoholic beverages available for sale on the Vinharia website may only be purchased by persons of legal age to do so in their country of residence and country of order. If in doubt, please contact us.
Vinharia reserves the right to modify, without prior notice and at any time, the information and commercial offer presented regarding: products, prices, promotions, commercial conditions, and services. The images illustrating each product may differ from the product subsequently delivered, and these products are also subject to stock shortages.
The prices displayed on the Vinharia.pt website include VAT at the legal rate in force, unless otherwise stated. In the event of a manifest pricing error (namely typographical errors or technical failures resulting in prices manifestly disproportionate to the actual value of the product), Vinharia reserves the right to cancel the order and fully refund the customer, informing them by email. If the customer prefers, they may choose to complete the order at the corrected price.
Only for duly identified professionals, the prices displayed may not include VAT; in this case, the information “Excluding VAT” appears.
Rounding of quantities and VAT may not be calculated on the platform in exactly the same way as the invoicing system.
If an order cannot be fulfilled in part or in full, the customer will be immediately contacted by our Customer Support service to find the most appropriate solution. Orders will only be processed after actual receipt of payment; the order itself does not constitute a reservation of products.
The prices displayed are subject to additional shipping and packaging costs. The shipping cost depends on the weight of the order and the respective delivery destination. The final and total amounts will always be displayed before completing your order. These amounts may be changed without prior notice.
The average delivery times, counted from payment confirmation and subject to stock shortages or force majeure events such as transport delays, are as follows:
- Mainland Portugal: 72 hours
- Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira: 5 working days
- Europe: 5 working days
- Rest of the world: 5 to 25 working days
All orders placed on the Vinharia website have a maximum payment period of 3 days. After this period, the order will be automatically cancelled.
All products shipped by Vinharia must be inspected at the time of delivery. If you find that your order is damaged, it is recommended that you refuse delivery with the transport company, justify the reason on the delivery note or invoice, and notify Vinharia immediately.
Vinharia is not responsible for shipments made to countries where the respective law does not permit the entry of alcoholic beverages. Customers are responsible for any seizure of their orders, as well as payment of customs duties, if applicable. In the event of product returns, Vinharia will refund only the amount corresponding to those products. If in doubt, please contact us before ordering.
Right of Withdrawal, Returns, and Refunds
Under Decree-Law No. 24/2014 of 14 February, consumer customers have 14 days to withdraw from the contract, without needing to provide any reason, counted from the date of receipt of the products.
The right of withdrawal may be exercised by unequivocal communication addressed to Vinharia, by letter or email.
Returned products must be sealed, with the capsule, cork, and seal intact, and in perfect condition for resale. Returns of opened bottles or bottles with broken seals are not accepted.
The direct cost of return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
Upon receipt of returned products and verification of their condition, Vinharia will process the refund within a maximum period of 14 days.
Applicable law, jurisdiction, and dispute resolution
All purchases made on the Vinharia.pt website are subject to Portuguese law. Without prejudice to the consumer’s legal rights, the Court of Almada is designated for the resolution of any dispute.
In the event of a dispute, consumers may resort to an Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution Entity, under Law No. 144/2015 of 8 September. The competent entity is the Lisbon Consumer Arbitration Centre (www.centroarbitragemlisboa.pt).
